Dr. Evered is a Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist with
20 years of experience specializing in Psychotherapy and
Neuropsychological Assessment. He integrates a theory and
research-based approach to his clinical work in order to develop an in
depth, supportive, and effective therapeutic relationship. Dr. Evered's
primary goal is to provide positive changes in individuals' lives.
Dr. Evered maintains psychotherapy, assessment, & consultation practices in San Francisco, Oakland, and Concord, California. He works with a wide range of individuals including adults, adolescents, and children. His areas of specialization include neuropsychological, academic, and personality assessment in addition to brief and long-term psychotherapy.
In conjunction with private
practice, Dr. Evered is a
clinical professor at the Wright
Institute in Berkeley and consulting
neuropsychologist for Neuromuscular
Consultants in San
Francisco and John
Muir Medical Center in Concord. He is also Director of
Clinical Research for Systems Micro Technologies, developing innovative
neuroimaging and rapid detection of traumatic brain injury and stroke.
Dr. Evered teaches graduate courses in the areas of neuropsychology and
psychotherapy.
Dr. Evered completed his doctoral training at St. Louis University and the Wright Institute. He completed a neuropsychology internship at St. Mary's Medical Center, McAuley Behavioral Health in San Francisco and psychotherapy internship at the Karen Horney Clinic in Manhattan. His postdoctoral training was completed at San Francisco Clinical Neurosciences. Dr. Evered is licensed in the State of California and completed both APA doctoral training and internships. He is a member of the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, American Psychological Association (APA), American Psychological Association: Division 40 (Clinical Neuropsychology), American Psychological Association: Division 39 (Psychoanalysis), National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN), Northern California Neuropsychology Forum (NCNF), & Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology (NCSPP).
